AmSty Signs Off-Take Agreement with Agilyx

The Woodlands, Texas – August 10, 2017 – AmSty has signed an agreement with Agilyx to receive material produced at its waste-to-styrene pyrolysis facility in Tirid, Oregon.  AmSty will deliver the material to its Styrene Monomer plant in St. James, Louisiana.

AmSty Announces Polystyrene Price Increase Effective August 1, 2017

The Woodlands, Texas--July 17,2017--AmSty announces an increase in the transaction price of all grades of polystyrene produced by the Company of $0.02/lb., effective August 1, 2017.  This price supersedes all other previously announced price changes.

San Diego City Council Adds Polystyrene Foam to Curbside Recycling

The Woodlands, Texas – June 21, 2017 – The San Diego City Council approved a measure yesterday adding polystyrene foam to its existing curbside recycling program. Curbside pickup programs are integral to the success of municipal recycling efforts. AmSty would like to congratulate San Diego on their decision!

The announcement comes just a few months after the City of Redding, California received, an FRC grant to begin its foam recycling efforts. (UPDATE 7/24: The city of Redding's program is now operational).

PhD Article Shows Polystyrene Still Safe for Foodservice

Redding, California, Awarded Grant to Recycle Foam Polystyrene

The Woodlands, Texas – November 1, 2016 – The Foam Recycling Coalition ("FRC") – a group of plastics industry suppliers, converters and companies who use foodservice packaging – continues to see results from its grant program. AmSty is an underwriter of the program which seeks to fund infrastructure improvements for polystyrene foam recycling. The latest success story comes from grant recipients in Redding, California.
