The Woodlands, Texas – March 26, 2020 – AmSty announces a decrease in the transaction price of all grades of polystyrene produced by the Company of $0.07/lb., effective April 1, 2020. This price supersedes all other previously announced price changes.
The Woodlands, Texas – March 11, 2020 – Dr. Randy Pogue has been named CEO of AmSty, effective April 2, as Brad Crocker is stepping down from the role. Dr. Pogue will serve on an interim basis while a search is conducted for CEO candidates over the coming months, of which Dr. Pogue and other internal candidates will also be considered. “We are grateful to Brad for his service over the past eight years, during which time AmSty has transformed as an industry leader,” said Jim Becker, Chairman of AmSty’s Board of Directors. “We look forward to AmSty’s continued leadership in the styrenics industry, which includes a core focus on new innovations in sustainability.”

The Woodlands, Texas – November 21, 2019 – Throughout the years, AmSty has published information about its involvement with a grant program by The Foam Recycling Coalition ("FRC") – A group of plastics industry suppliers, converters and companies who use foodservice packaging. AmSty is an underwriter of the program which seeks to fund infrastructure improvements for polystyrene foam recycling. We are proud to report that the latest data shows our program has helped bring foam recycling to more than 4 million people.

The Woodlands, Texas – September 26, 2019 – Plastics News published an article showcasing a major Oregon-based recycling project, sponsored by AmSty, whose goal is to find solutions to plastic waste and recycling improvements.
Jim Johnson, the author of the article says, "Instead of adding additional equipment to each Municipal Recycling Facility (MRF) to capture more plastics, the pilot project instead is out to prove that a secondary sortation at a completely different facility is cost effective."
