PRODUCT SAFETY & STEWARDSHIP
Safety is our number one priority. That not only includes providing a safe environment for our employees, customers and contractors, but for ensuring that the products we supply to our valued customers are safe, too.
As part of our commitment to the American Chemistry Council (ACC) Responsible Care® Product Safety Code, our Product Stewardship program ensures that the environmental, health and safety of our products through their entire lifecycle beginning at inception through manufacturing, transportation and distribution, use, recycling and disposal.
The Product Safety Code requirements are met through our Operational Excellence Management System and Product Safety Management Standard. Each employee at AmSty has a responsibility in product safety and stewardship. Multi-functional teams including Technical Service & Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Logistics, and Customer Service implement standards and processes to ensure that EH&S priorities are considered.
Based on the hazard and exposure risk profile of a product, the appropriate measures are taken to ensure that product safety is achieved. Through the value chain of our products, value chain partners such as suppliers, distributors, transportation providers, and customers are key to communicating product information to manage and continually improving our product stewardship program to ensure product safety.
We value the relationships with our partners along the value chain and are committed to providing technical, regulatory and product safety information. Below are relevant product stewardship summaries:
