Driving Sustainable Change

Who We Are and What We Do

AmSty is proud to be the leading US producer of certified recycled polystyrene. As a leading producer of polystyrene and styrene monomer, AmSty is a pioneer in circular recycling of polystyrene, a versatile plastic that now can be recycled over and over again. It plays an important role in our everyday lives in:

  • Food Packaging / Foodservice

  • Large Appliances

  • Consumer Durables / Construction

  • Medical Devices

The list is extensive. We offer innovative solutions and services to customers around the globe, producing monomer and styrene monomer, the building blocks of those products and more.
We’re proud to be an industry leader in sustainability and developing a truly circular economy for polystyrene – and eventually all plastics. We believe that this in-kind recycling – where products are returned to their original application, quality and durability – is the key to keeping plastic out of our landfills. In fact, our long-term vision is that polystyrene should never be landfilled but reclaimed, reprocessed, and reused over and over.
Our innovative approach not only protects our planet, but provides sustainable solutions for customers who, too, are committed to making the world a better place.
